Portrait of a Winner
A portrait of my brother interpreted from my favorite photograph of him taken when he was running, swimming, and bicycling in triathlon competitions. Like me, he does everything with 110% of his energy and is quite competitive. This quilt was juried into the Hanging by a Thread exhibit in 1999 at Northern Arizona University. Techniques used: immersion dyed cottons, machine applique and free-motion machine quilting.
