Starling of Botswana

Possibly a Greater Blue Eared Cape Glossy Starling was captured by me on our trip to Botswana, and I manipulated the image in Photoshop to abstract the background. Disperse dyed polyester fabric prints by the artist were machine appliqued and machine quilted with 2 to 4 layers of wool batting.. Black cotton backing and similar colors in the bobbin enhance the back imagery as well.
