In Preening Pelican, I combined a huge wave from Hermosa Beach with a
Pelican that was preening itself also taken there. This quilt won First place in the Pictorial category in the 2006 $100,000 Quilting Challenge and is featured in the first issue of the magazine. To vote for this quilt in the final competition, click below:
