Fringe Elements #1: Gold and Water

Framed abstract piece, the first in a series using fringe from all my hand dyed fabrics and featuring polymer clay. The colors of the series represent one of the metallic elements combined with the primitive 4 "elements" that make up the matter that everything was thought to be made up of, namely water, fire, earth and air. Machne pieced and machne quilted. Hand dyed cotton fabrics and fringe with mokume gane polymer clay to match.
