|34.25" w. x 42 3/4" h.
When I saw this bearded iris on a box of bulbs, I knew I just had to grow it to include in my work. Only two flowers, both on one plant, bloomed of the 5 plants that grew. Hopefully, next year other varieties, equally beautiful, will flower. Hand painted silk done the salt technique is used both in the background and the borders. Disperse dyed polyester flower. Machine appliqued and heavily machine quilted.
See this quilt on the cover of Spring 2005 American Quilter Magazine along with an article by the artist.
