In the Spring of 2010, I planted a purple clematis, one of my favorite flowers, and in 2011, it blossomed beautifully, inspiring this quilt. I manipulated the background to give some interesting texture in Photoshop. Disperse dyed printed polyester, 2 layers wool batting, cotton backing, machine appliqued, and free-motion machine quilted
