Autumn in New England
Images of scenes either of or near my home and studio in New England connected with leaves gathered in Autumn of 2000. Polyester disperse dyed transfers of my photographs and gathered leaves. Note: There are spaces between the images. Heavily machine quilted. This quilt has been selected for inclusion in the opening art quilt show at the new location of the Museum of American Folk Art in NYC. The opening of the show will be Sept 24, 2001. Fifteen quilts were selected from an international competition, and two are by Barbara McKie. See also Fanfare for an Orange.
